the gospel and parenting....

hello to all...
it's Sunday night and today has been wonderful....a not-so-late start to church, got breakfast even...the sermon this morning was on the gospel and parenting. what a relief that our pastor is so passionately after God's heart that he camps out on Ephesians 6 and teaches what it means to be a christian parent. i encourage you to listen to last week and this week on the podcast...gospel and marriage was last week... God has allowed me to be in the place where i am spiritually..receptive... and i am so glad to be hearing from him weekly and that he allows me through his grace to be a part of his plan. i praise God for the word he entrusted us with to live by... he is so good and sufficient for my every need....and yours ...

this week is going to have to be covered in grace...mmmm...fall pictures are SUPPOSED TO BE TOMORROW.. good 'ole deadlines...welp...WHERE ARE THE BOXES...GOD GIVE ME GRACE AND MERCY... samples needed to take pictures....small dilemma right...not for God- i have officially done everything i know to do and shipping time is just taking longer than it should....meanwhile, this week - pictures, then invitation must go to print (proof done, whew!), then logo on order forms, binder with pictures, pictures with manequins....mmmm OH yeah wednesday is the sale!! email sale/phone sale to help clear out inventory from this season.....new website skin goes on this week and amelia is scheduling shows for fall to start july 7th...
all of this is the work part to be done during naptime and a little extra but the kids and i will find something wonderful to get in to as well...
this summer the kids an i decided to make a book....each week we ransack the sunday paper for two "letter pages"- meaning a sketch pad sized picture made from things cut out of the paper to storyboard that particular letter...at the end of the summer logan will hopefully remember all letters and continue reading and be ready for kindergarden. i, in turn, will have his precious mind on paper and will have enjoyed the two-hour projects all along. this is a wonderful job, staying home with the kids....God help me to never take it for granted!!

Ephesians 6
Children and Parents 1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2"Honor your father and mother"—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3"that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."[a] 4Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
