fun things...

hey to all...
fun things... Logan was practicing his picture-taking skills in the one above...so cute..took about 100...

this week Logan starts kindergarten (not one of the fun things) so other events are noted as distractions, so here goes...
mia got her "big girl bed" tonight..we put the kids in the bath tub- turned the monitor up and ran up and down the stairs putting the frame together and getting the mattresses up two flights of stairs
*note: why do you birmingham people LOVE basements (two words- slab house)...for me that means guaranteed 4 flights of stairs for one forgotten lovie,- heaven forbid we forget two separate things... EVERY DAY...i should be alot skinnier...4 trips with groceries today people...not fun!! did i mention that we got the groceries from scuse me but... hellmart. it must have been senior citizen day and it took about an hour just to get through the store and back to the car...only to realize that mia had put my wallet on the conveyor belt- HELPING ME PAY>>>> after i had paid no less....
WHAT DAY IS IT????
ok back to the bed...she loves it!! so exciting...i am sharing pictures but don't think i have fallen off of my design rocker because i promise i'm not finished - i just haven't had time to paint, monogram, and make her her room to match...PLUS the crib is there as my backup plan...what if she doesn't sleep?
as most of you know, we run a tight ship around here- BBTN IS MADE POSSIBLE FOR YOU BY MIA'S NAPTIME... 2 o'clock sharp, tornado or not..that is worktime and i nothing short of run from point A to B to get it all done during 2-5 then there is dinner. ok ready...order fabric, pay bills, coordinate all manufacturers, handle fires of the day (out of waist elastic, chocolate buttons, quickbooks keeps blowing up, etc.)...nothing is ever dull here..order bows, clips and figure out what to do about next season...but all that to say...i think the BBTN girls and i fit a week's worth into naptime each day...i know that is true to amelia and i at the very least and moving towards everyone else.
COOK DINNER, BATHS,- we would be eating mcdonald's at night if naptime wasn't productive for sure...
i am quite positive the this posting is so much like every one of your lives...just a different list of things to do. same number of things to do every day...chosen busy. if we REALLY wanted to we could make things quite simple...but since i haven't i know you all...you haven't either...we have to have daily funny stories...

speaking of funny...as funny as it is not..story about my oldest...
first night in the big bed...of COURSE we hear a thump...that one you KNOW is them rolling out of the bed...he was back in the bed before we got up there but that noise is HILARIOUS....don't be judgemental he wasn't hurt at all especially with all of the pillows on the floor but we will laugh about that forever...here is to hoping that we don't hear that "horrible" thump tonight..have a laugh on me...

one more funny...help me welcome our newest member to the family, freddie, his predecessor died last week and has been replaced. we have mourned the loss of roomba #1 (no real name) #1 and we are happy to have another one call the laundry room home....i'm a roomba enthusiast (along with the rest of my family and amelia) if anyone has any questions...clean house no effort!!
